Duncan BuryDuncan Bury

Duncan is the principal of Duncan Bury Consulting and began his career in waste diversion and producer responsibility in the mid 1980’s at the City of Ottawa where he worked to launch one of the first blue box recycling programs.  At Environment Canada he was the lead on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), waste electronics, eco-labelling, product-focused pollution prevention strategies and the National Packaging Protocol.  He also co-chaired Environment Canada’s biennial series of national EPR workshops.

     

     
Geoff Love

Geoff Love

Geoff is the president of Love Environment and has spent over 25 years as a consultant on waste diversion and producer responsibility programs. He was one of the founders of the Ontario Blue Box recycling program and one of the first employees of Stewardship Ontario. He is the volunteer Chair of Friends of the Earth Canada, a member of the Grants and Special Projects committee of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund and on the Energy and Environment Advisory Committee to the city of Stratford where Geoff currently lives.

     

     

Christina SeidelChristina Seidel

Christina holds a Masters degree in Environmental Design (Environmental Science), as well as a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, and is currently undertaking her PhD in Engineering Management, with a thesis topic of Assessing Recycling Options using Life-Cycle Assessment.  She operates sonnevera international corp., a waste reduction consulting firm, and is the current Executive Director of the Recycling Council of Alberta. Christina loves rural life, choosing to live on a farm near Bluffton, Alberta, where her and her family raise Warmblood horses, and enjoy many other outdoor activities.

     

     

Jo-Anne St. GodardJo-Anne St. Godard

Jo-Anne has been involved in furthering waste reduction and extended producer responsibility policies and programs for more the decade.  In that time, she has been researching and examining models and best practices from around the world.    As the current Executive Director of the Recycling Council of Ontario and a Director of Waste Diversion Ontario, Jo-Anne has been intimately involved in the development and progression of all of the stewardship programs under Ontario’s EPR framework, working with both governments and industry.  Jo-Anne holds a Bachelor of Human Physiology from the University of Manitoba and now resides in Orangeville, Ontario.

     

     

Don JardineDon Jardine

Don is the principal of DE Jardine Consulting and has 18 years experience in source separation, waste diversion and EPR programs while employed with PEI Dept of Environment. He was the province’s representative on the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, Environment Planning and Protection Committee (CCME) and was Chair of the CCME National Task Group on extended producer responsibility (EPR) from 2005-2009.

     

     

Barbara McConnell, APRBarbara McConnell, APR

Barbara is the founder and president of McConnell Weaver Strategic Communication. For more than 25 years she has designed and delivered corporate marketing communication programs as well as promotion and education (P&E) campaigns focusing on social issues for a broad cross-section of Canada-wide public and private sector clients, including product stewardship organizations. Barbara’s considerable experience extends from developing and implementing leading edge, community-based, solid waste management P&E programs to province-wide campaigns driving diversion of printed paper and packaging, household hazardous and special waste and electronic waste.

     

     
These are the founding members of EPR Canada. Additional members may be added in the future as the Report Card initiative continues and as other project initiatives are added to EPR Canada’s activites.
